Exploring Important Destinations
Steering in Los Santos
- To CJ’s House (Ganton):
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in Downtown Los Santos. Head south along the main roads until you reach the Los Santos Freeway. Follow it eastward, then take the exit toward Ganton. You’ll recognize CJ’s house by the cul-de-sac and green Grove Street signs.
- To the Los Santos International Airport (LSX):
- Begin at CJ’s House in Ganton. Head south until you reach the Freeway, then follow the signs for the airport. Drive through Idlewood and continue south. You’ll know you’re there when you see the runway and large terminal buildings.
- To Santa Maria Beach (Sniper Rifle):
- From Downtown Los Santos, head west toward the coast. Drive past Vinewood and continue until you hit the beach area. When you reach the Santa Maria Pier, walk along the wooden pier to find the Sniper Rifle near the end.
- To Glen Park (AK-47):
- Starting from CJ’s house, head north. Pass through Idlewood and continue until you reach a large grassy park area, which is Glen Park. The park is surrounded by water, and in the middle of the park, you’ll find the AK-47 lying on the grass.
Guiding in San Fierro
- To CJ’s Garage (Doherty):
- From the San Fierro Airport, head northeast. Follow the signs for Downtown San Fierro, and as you move past Esplanade East, you will eventually reach Doherty. CJ’s garage will be right across from the train tracks.
- To Gant Bridge (Snapshots):
- Begin in Downtown San Fierro and head west toward the coast. You’ll eventually see the Gant Bridge, resembling the Golden Gate Bridge. Several snapshot collectibles are located on and around the bridge. Look up at the bridge cables and towers for their locations.
- To Chinatown (Katana):
- From CJ’s Garage in Doherty, drive north. Follow the road until you enter Chinatown, marked by traditional Chinese architecture and red lanterns. Look behind one of the alleyways for the Katana weapon.
Charting in Las Ventures
- To The Strip (Horseshoes):
- If you’re at Las Venturas Airport, head northeast into the city. Follow the bright lights until you reach The Strip, which is full of casinos and luxury hotels. Several horseshoe collectibles can be found around the casinos, with one behind the Four Dragons Casino.
- To Verdant Meadows Airstrip (Minigun):
- From The Strip, head northwest into the desert. Continue past Area 69, and when you see the dilapidated buildings of the airstrip, you’ll know you’re in Verdant Meadows. The Minigun is inside one of the hangars after you purchase the airstrip.
- To Area 69 (Jetpack):
- Starting from Las Venturas, head south into the desert. Follow the road leading to Area 69, a highly secure military base surrounded by fences. You’ll get the Jetpack here after completing a specific mission.
- To The Strip (Horseshoes):
- If you’re at Las Venturas Airport, head northeast into the city. Follow the bright lights until you reach The Strip, which is full of casinos and luxury hotels. Several horseshoe collectibles can be found around the casinos, with one behind the Four Dragons Casino.

- From Los Santos, head north on the highways leading to the countryside. After driving through Red County and crossing the Whetstone Bridge, follow the signs for Mount Chiliad. There will be a dirt path leading up the mountain. At the summit, you’ll find a Mountain Bike and Armor.
- To Palomino Creek (Shotgun):
- Start in Los Santos, and take the road north, following the river. Drive through Red County, and when you reach a small town with a central bridge, you’ll be in Palomino Creek. Look inside the barns to find the Shotgun.
Maneuvering in the Desert
- To The Big Ear (Rocket Launcher):
- From Las Venturas, head southwest into the desert. Look for the massive satellite dish known as The Big Ear. At its base, you’ll find the Rocket Launcher.
- To Las Brujas (Flamethrower):
- From Las Venturas, travel west, deep into Bone County. As you head into the desert, watch for an old, ghost-town-like settlement called Las Brujas. The Flamethrower is located near one of the old houses.
Collectibles Direction
- Tags in Los Santos:
- There are 100 gang tags scattered throughout Los Santos. Most are in Ganton, Idlewood, and East Los Santos gang territories. Use a spray can to mark them.
- Snapshots in San Fierro:
- Look for 50 Snapshots in San Fierro, typically on landmarks like Gant Bridge, Chinatown, and Esplanade East. The camera is required to capture these.
- Horseshoes in Las Venturas:
- These collectibles are scattered across Las Venturas at casinos, parking lots, and rooftops. Some are hidden on The Strip and others are near the desert towns.
- Oysters (Underwater Collectibles):
- Found underwater near lakes, rivers, and the coast. Some notable ones are in Santa Maria Beach and the lakes around Red County and Mount Chiliad.
